    St. Mary's Nativity School asks: How much oil and gas is produces annually from the Gulf of Mexico?    CC answers:  The 2002 oil production in the Gulf was 606,251,000 barrels.  The oil production accounted for 29 percent of all the oil produced in the United States.  The 2002 natural gas production was 4,652 billion cubic feet.  The gas production accounted for 23 percent of all the natural gas produced in the country.  This and more is available at www.lmoga.com.
    L.J. Alleman Middle School asks: What's the oldest and biggest Cypress tree that you have seen?    CC answers:  The biggest is the National Champion Baldcypress which is on teh Cat Island National Wildlife Refuge near St. Francisville, LA.  It could be 200 to 1000 years old.  The Nature conservancy of Louisiana might be able to tell you exactly how old it is.
    L.J. Alleman Middle School asks: How many years of experience do you have with wildlife and being a photographer?    CC answers:  I started watching wildlife when I was five years old.  I started taking pictures when I was six.  I started taking professional pictures when I was twenty-one.  That gives me 33 years of professional photography.
    Audubon Elementary asks:

What characteristic of deciduous trees are most obvious in the coastal marsh?

   CC answers:  When you see a deciduous tree you know that it is on higher ground than marsh such as a ridge along a bayou.  Another telling characteristic is that they lose their leaves in the winter.
